Maryport Blues Festival 2011

This is the 4th year Split has worked with the festival – the second biggest of its kind in the UK – and I'm really hoping this poster is liked by the festival goers as much as previous version have been: The organisers have had increasing problems with the large banners being stolen and ending up on people's bedroom walls, whilst the year that Chuck Berry performed he decided he liked the design so much he demanded his guitarist go around the marquee and take down all the posters so he could take them back to the US. (At the time I was sat back-stage trying to hide my grin from the head of marketing, who was pretty miffed that the large-format prints she'd splashed out on to dress the marquee had all been nicked on the first night!)
